You can use the dedicated rewards section to note the reward you’ll give yourself upon reaching your target, helping you stay motivated.

To use the financial goals planner, start by filling out the annual sheet to establish your overarching financial objectives. Breaking down your goals is essential to provide clarity on what you aim to achieve and to simplify progress tracking.

After completing the annual sheet, use the quarterly planner sheets (one page per quarter) to break down your annual financial goals into smaller, actionable milestones. Each sheet includes the following sections:

  • Quarterly Targets (Tip: Align your quarterly targets with your annual goals when you write them down).
  • Monthly financial focus areas and action steps

Annual and Monthly Budget Calendar

The Annual and Monthly Budget Calendar consists of two standalone templates. Use the annual financial overview template to enter a snapshot of your finances, which sets the foundation for your planning. The page includes sections to note starting debt and savings balances, as well as your projected income for the year. A designated space is also provided for recording how much debt you want to pay off, how much you aim to save and how much you plan to invest. These figures give you clear targets to work toward.

The monthly section of the planner includes dedicated spaces to log your income, expenses, debt paid, savings, and investments for each month. Fill out these fields as you move through the year to give you a snapshot of your finances over time. It also helps you in spotting trends such as spending spikes and monthly spending habits. At the end of the year, sum each variable so you can compare your actual totals against your targets.

Use the monthly financial calendar to break down your annual financial targets and to map out your activities to achieve them. The financial calendar includes fillable grids, where you can write daily accounts and activities.
